Conscious Collaborators

Our Conscious Collaborators (CCs) are uniquely trained by our specialists with the aim of creating a loving and engaging learning environment. By first listening, and then modeling our deeply held values, children enjoy a carefully crafted space which allows each of them a unique, self-directed experience, leading them to their own mastery and self-actualization. See below to learn more about our passionate community.

Paul Burgess – Executive Director/ Lead Conscious Collaborator

Paul has been an educator for 17 years. Initially a 5th grade teacher and coach, his found passion for creating a caring and engaging learning environment led him to having experiences in counseling, managing After School Care programs, and eventually as a principal at an All-Boys school, St. Andrew’s Preparatory School for Boys. Over time, his understanding of the science of child development and his close relationships with students led him to self-directed learning. In 2020, he co-founded Wyoming’s first self-directed learning environment, WyldFlower Learning Community. With this experience, and his passion for student centered learning greater than ever, he is excited to lead and collaborate with experts, parents, and children in offering a dynamic, engaging and compassionate learning environment.
